So if someone here already played it, pretty please save me some of my time and tell me if the same awaits me on that one as well. I've read that improves over some stuff but can't find anything about the way the plot is told. I'll wait a bit before buying the third game.

You could argue that the gameplay is what matter on these hunting games and yeah, I came for the gameplay, but the characters and the story also appeals to me and I think that's what makes the series apart from Monster Hunter.
watch a Youtube video talking about them or you'll end up wanting to hit your head just like me at this moment for wasting 60 hours on each of these games just to watch a cutscene you might as well watch in Youtube in less than five minutes. Play them in short bursts, and if you get interested on the story and characters. If you're gonna try to get into the series let me warn you, don't play one game after the other or you're gonna bore yourself to death. It reuses content in a way I didn't even imagine it was possible.

Not surprised they gave RE for free with the bought of RB. I hoped that Rage Burst would improve over this after playing Ressurrection but it was the same. Story, entire arcs, true ending and character development hidden under recycled missions and boring material grinding. ffs can't believe it, you still need to complete already completed missions for them to advance. RB tries to fix this but with characters episodes but on those you. Though you learn stuff about them and the world around you so it's not that bad, just thought it was lazy not to voice those lines. There is no gameplay beyond killing the aragamis and interacting with the characters on the base, which dialogue is not voiced(only on important cutscenes). The missions are something like "aragamis are attacking the base, go kill them" that again and again and again and again. The story of both games is told after completing missions and missions of reused maps, aragamis and dialogue all over and over again. ugh beyond boring and in the dullest way possible. Really like the characters from the first game and the ones from the second felt kinda flat and uninteresting to me at least. Predators styles are great and but I also really enjoy using blood arts.
